FractalViewer - Palette Styles

FractalViewer can automatically generate a number of different styles of palette, as shown below. These styles are selected from the Palette/Type menu.

Example fractal image using bright palette

Bright palette

This style fills the palette with random colours. These are generated by taking random values for red, green and blue, then in order to increase the chance of bright primary colours, the two minimum colour components are halved.

Monochrome palette

This style fills the palette with random shades of gray.

Example fractal image using white palette

White palette

This style fills the palette with white. This style shows the true fractal, for example in the case of the Mandelbrot set, only those pixels that are in the Mandelbrot set are not white.
