Built-in Commands

Built-in commands are those menu commands that CopyFilenames Pro can add to the Windows Explorer context menu that have no options and have built-in behavior.

The alternative command type is a user defined command, which can be configured to control the text that is copied to the clipboard.

The built-in commands are all available by default when CopyFilenames Pro is first installed. You can remove any of these that you don't want by configuring the context menu, or add them back again later.

The following is a list of the built-in commands available:

Copy Filenames

Copies the names of the selected files or folders.

If you hold SHIFT while selecting this command, it copies the full path(s) instead.

If you hold CTRL while selecting this command, it opens the Options dialog.

Copy Filename And Delete

Copies the name of the selected file or folder, and then deletes it.

Paste Filename

Renames the selected file with the text on the clipboard.

Paste Filename (Not Ext.)

Renames the selected file with the text on the clipboard, but leaves the extension unchanged.

Options

Brings up the Options dialog that lets you select which file attributes to copy.

Context Menu Sub-menu

This is not a command you can select, instead it is used if you want commands to appear in a sub-menu in the Windows Explorer context menu.

Configure

This brings up the Configure dialog that lets you select what commands are added to the Windows Explorer context menu.
